Adventure Training
Adventure Training can be quite varied depending on the interest of the individual Cadet as well as what opportunities become available throughout the year.
Cadets and Staff can get involved with various activities such as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, parachuting, white water rafting, climbing, skiing, road marching and much more.
We understand that some of these activities can come at a cost, therefore regardless of the individuals personal circumstances there can be financial support through the Squadron and / or the John Thornton Young Acheivers Foundation. In addition, where possible we can also loan equipment, provide transport, and so on.
Just as an example, some of the Cadets, and Staff included, joined 1244 (Swindon) Squadron for a couple of consecutive years, on a trip to Jersey which involved some of the activities listed, as well as coasteering, surfing and a chance to just chill on the beach!
This is something to keep an eye on as the opportunities can vary. We will always keep you posted!
