Fieldcraft

As an Air Cadet, we also learn the basics of how to look after ourselves out in the Field.

Fieldcraft training consists of learning about camouflage and concealment, from practicing with camo cream to learning the techniques of how to go undected when on patrol through crawl techniques and breaking up your shape into the natural surroundings.

You also learn the basics of camp cooking including getting to sample ration packs by making your own meals, to putting up bashers and tents.

All of this requires you to know what equipment to take and how to pack it properly. There are lots of chances to get involved with Fieldcraft on Squadron to various Training Days and Camps.
